Hi There
I hope this podcast/letter finds you well.
A couple of weeks ago, I gave a talk at big The Mind, Body, and Soul Show at Birmingham’s National Exhibition Centre here in the UK, and I was hoping to share that talk with you today, but sadly, often the audio from such events is plagued by sound issues, as sadly is the case this time. So instead, I’ve reached back into the archive to pull up a talk from a year and change ago given at the same show, but from the mighty Alexandra Palace* in London. Both my appearances were around my book, but I always like to give people real experiences and not just be a sales pitch in disguise. I’ve never been built that way, and hey, it’s way more fun to bring a transmission of the ‘what is’ into a place mainly designed to sell you things. Don’t worry. My book sold out on both occasions, so my publisher was happy too. But the audience - i.e. you is who I’m here for. To support you on your journey to realisation of the Self.
This talk was given on 15th September 2022 at Alexandra Palace. In it, you are invited to embrace a journey of profound self-awareness. Here, we challenge the superficial pursuit of information, instead allowing ourselves to be guided towards a deeper understanding of our existence. This talk highlights awareness as the bedrock for genuine love and authenticity, urging us to transcend reactivity and embrace the true essence of our being. We are presented with a transformative vision where the curriculum of your ordinary life when embraced with awareness, reveals your indispensable role in the universe.
In essence, this talk covers five main points:
Awareness transcends mere information gathering, offering depth to life's experience.
True love and authenticity are unattainable without self-awareness.
Confronting life's challenges with awareness transforms them into growth opportunities.
Self-realization emerges when awareness guides life, not ego.
The journey of awareness is the return to one's intrinsic, necessary place in the universe.
So here is the recording. It’s recorded in a very live setting, so there is some background sound, and the pace reflects the environment. I hope you really enjoy it.
Lots of Love
John
Notes
* For any fellow Deadheads reading this. The Grateful Dead played an astounding show here 11th Sept 1974 - The version of Whart Rat in this show is the one that profoundly turned me on to the song.
