The Importance of Taking Nourishment

Hello everyone
I just wanted to share this little video with you about the importance of engaging with the arts in a nourishing way more centrally in your life if you are a writer or a creative.

Note on the video:
I realise that not everyone is as self-employed as I am, and so we each have to do the best we can. I made a firm decision some 29 years ago now to quit regular work and go for it as a writer. I came from real poverty and had no bank of mum and dad or rich partner or inheritance behind me, but something in me said either do this or don’t… and somehow, I’m still here, and I feel that having walked through the fire this way has taught me things that few others know about being a writer as artist, which I hope to try to share from time to time across the different areas of our work. I know it is different for everyone, but one thing I am certain of is that in order to create art, we have to be fed by art. I, too, am neglectful of this sometimes, so I made this little video as an encouragement to you to allow yourself to feed your artist deeply from time to time.
